ITQAN Holding and INDEX Holding Signs agreement for Exchange expertise
Dubai – United Arab Emirates, December 4th 2011: Character Dubai, Game Expo and MYCONTENT shows concluded their four days business and public events at the Dubai international Convention and Exhibition Centre with thousands of attendees and participants from 50 countries.
A press conference was held during the show to announce a strategic alliance between Index Conferences and Exhibitions and Intigral to evolve digital content in the MENA region. The press conference was headed by Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding and Mr. Karim Daoud, CEO of Intigral.
Intigral will create and promote digital media content to enrich the lifestyle of consumers which compliments the platform of MYCONTENT show. Intigral works with more than 500 content providers and suppliers regionally and internationally and in return Index will be able to attract more exhibitors from various content providers which Intigral will bring.
“MYCONTENT is a platform that will open the door for dialogue among various stakeholders in the digital content and telecom industries. We believe that knowledge and experience sharing helps in evolving the content industry and enhancing its echo-system in our region.” said Karim Daoud, Intigral CEO.
He continued: “As advocates of promoting digital content to not only advance the business of our telecom partners and operators, but also to enrich the lifestyle of the end user, we see this forum as a great opportunity and are confident that Index and Intigral will reap the benefits of this partnership.”
MYCONTENT, Character Dubai and Game Expo resumed their activities at the Dubai Convention and Exhibition Centre for the second day with the participation of more than 200 local and international companies specialised in games, cartoon characters, media and digital content and more companies related to this industry.
From his side, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani expressed his gratitude at the press conference for this initiative. He also said: “we encourage all national and international specialised companies to be part of this big entertainment and business event and we invite them to be part of this developing industry. The mobile TV, digital content, media content, cartoon characters and licensing business are evolving all over the world, and I think with this initiative, Intigral is keen to be part of this booming industry and we are working together to obtain stability and prosperity of this industry. MYCONTENT show will open doors for creative individuals, investors and national and Arab companies and encourage them to partner and work together in order to transfer our culture through the media to the world.”
On the sidelines of the event, Index has also signed an agreement with Itqan Holding from Qatar for enhancing the events business industry in Qatar. Index will share its expertise and qualifications in the events business with Itqan and support them with all the vents they are organising especially with the sports events.
Dr. Al Madani was thrilled with this agreement and mentioned that Qatar and the UAE had always have excellent business relationships and said that the cooperation between Index and Itqan will foster the events business in both countries and in the gulf.
National Day Celebrations
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the UAE national Day, the organizers of character Dubai dedicated two days for the public and the kinds hosting their favorite characters including; JUM JUM, Mudhish, Dexter, Chowder and many more. The kids played with their characters and participated with the multiple events hosted by MBC3, Cartoon Network Arabic, and other animation companies.
The show also hosted a cosplay competition, where more than 50 participants competed to win the best animi costume. The competition was so exciting with participation of all gulf countries and many nationalities from the UAE. Three winners have won the best costume characters. The event was organised by Index conferences and Exhibitions in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Animi Club.
The Rabbit Hole, a newly founded Emarati initiative consists of 10 young ladies from Zayed University took part at the event to encourage and support talented designers from the UAE and the gulf. The initiative will promote domestic brands and give young local businesses that need the support in order to see the light. The Rabbit Hole team is expecting to have 15 designers from the GCC to showcase their products in fashion where they will launch an event in February.
