Although I don’t like Iran as I believe it’s as bad as Israel, but I find it unjustified for Arabs to get overexcited about the mayhem that has been striking the country since the elections, I mean what’s in it for us? There is an old Arabic quote that says: Leave what is Caesar’s to Caesar, I think it’s something inline with: To Caesar what is Caesar’s!

“Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22:21)

As for Iran…comparing it to Israel is just downright insulting. it’s almost the equivalent of those who say things like “palestinians are the jews of the arabs”
iranians have the willpower and balls to do that which we have created a legacy of fearing to do.
any case, this is a good cover.
well, thanks for the correction, and to be honest I’ve never heard of “palestinians are the jews of the arabs”
As for Iran, I agree with you but I do believe that Iran will never be friends to Arabs, it will remain an enemy, and I believe they won’t hesitate to invade Arabia and perhaps enjoy a bloody revenge for the old days, when Arabs invaded Persia, but you know what, I always say I hope that I’m wrong about Iran.
btw, I used to hear people saying “Kuwaitis are the jews of Arabs and the Gulf”, which of course is insulting as you described it, and absolutely stupid and pointless.
I’ll appoint myself moderator of this dispute, and my ruling is that you are both stupid racists for even arguing about who is “as bad” as the Jews, and that’s so obvious you shouldn’t even need a moderator.
Additional evidence of stupidity and bigotry:
I mean what’s in it for us?
But yet you don’t expect anyone else to ask that selfish question when it comes to supporting Palestine, do you?
Well Craig, our brilliant moderator, by the way there is a vacancy for this position if you like, don’t involved Jews here, I was comparing Iran to Israel, a state to a state, not involving people and religion, man read the post before commenting, word “Jews” wasn’t even mentioned in the post, Nas mentioned it in a different way.
And yes, what’s happening in Iran is an internal issue, I still don’t feel that people outside Iran should endorse it and get overexcited about it, at least that’s my humble opinion.
You have the right to disagree with me, but you shouldn’t be rude and arrogant!
…don’t involved Jews here, I was comparing Iran to Israel, a state to a state
Right! That’s why you transitioned into the bit about whether it was the Kuwaitis or the Plaestinians who were the Jews of the Arab world. It’s all about states. And which state were you talking about with this part? :
…I find it unjustified for Arabs to get overexcited about…
Is that the Arab state? So you are a pan-Arab nationalist? Or just ethnocentric? Either way, when you speak of Arabs you do so based on ethnic/cultural group and when you talk about Iran and Israel, you do so based solely on nationality? And we are supposed to just accept that? In my experience, nobody who places ethnic identity first and foremost leaves ethnic identity out of the equation when talking about others.
And yes, what’s happening in Iran is an internal issue, I still don’t feel that people outside Iran should endorse it and get overexcited about it, at least that’s my humble opinion.
And do you also think that the Iranians should not involve themselves in Palestinian issues? When can we expect to read some posts to that effect, then? Or do you think Iranians should stand for Palestinians, when Palestinians won’t stand for Iranians?
You have the right to disagree with me, but you shouldn’t be rude and arrogant!
Rude and arrogant? I don’t know who you are, but I know who Nas is and based on his support for Hezbollah and him proclaiming Imad Mugniyah to be a hero when in fact he was a psychopath and mass murderer, Nas is lucky to get no worse than rudeness from any American. But, that’s just my opinion. Maybe Nas should come to the US and start telling people how much he misses Imad Mugniyah, and then he can get some feedback from other Americans about the matter. Could be that I’m wrong!
Hooray! Another brilliant comment from our brilliant moderator Craig… well I don’t think there is a point in keep arguing with you, can you just explain anything I say the way you like.
Nas compared my comparison between Iran and Israel what that comparison between Palestinians and Jews, and I told him that I used to hear it about Kuwaitis, I don’t see why you considered it offensive!
And helping someone is totally different than interfering in their issues, Iranians have the right to elect, accept or refuse the results, protest against it, protest against the protests, it’s their own thing.
And if you think Palestinians should help Iranians so Iranians should help back, what do you think Palestinians/Arabs should do? Endorse the protests? Or support Najad and stand against the protests? Which is more helping to the Iranians, my brilliant insightful mastermind!
