United Biscuits (UB) is a leading branded snacks business, producing some of the world’s best known and loved sweet and savoury snacks. Our classic brands have been delighting consumers for generations and include such favourites as McVitie’s, Jacob’s, Carr’s, McCoy’s, Hula Hoops, McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes, Penguin, KP, Mini Cheddars, go ahead!, Verkade, Sultana, BN and Delacre.
The Middle East has continued to see strong growth over recent years, and is supported by significant Marketing investment. The region has a product portfolio that covers predominantly sweet biscuits sold under the McVitie’s brand.
Based in Saudi Arabia, and covering the whole Middle East region, this newly created position reports into the Marketing Manager (MEA) who is based in the UK.
For this permanent and challenging opportunity we require a Brand Manager who is keen to develop their career with a leading international FMCG business.
The role will encompass the full marketing mix and will involve implementing brand strategies for a prominent portfolio of brands while managing an exciting array of Through The Line activity. With P&L responsibility, you will be working alongside the Marketing Manager, external agencies and key distributors to deliver regional initiatives and strategies.
Below the Line experience is absolutely essential (POS, sampling, etc) and some Above the Line experience would be desirable, but support can provided for the right candidate in this area. Applicants with exposure to Trade Marketing principles will be considered favourably, as will those who can demonstrate experience of working with distributor networks.
This role is targeted at a native Arabic speaker based in Saudi Arabia with experience of Brand Marketing, ideally gained within an FMCG environment. Candidates will be fluent in English and will demonstrate resilience, independence and a hands-on, proactive approach to Marketing management.
