The Art Director is responsible for managing and art directing designers towards the development of creative brand concepts. The Art Director must achieve this while remaining within the parameters of the client’s budget and meeting the established deadlines. The Art Director must have the ability to come up with strong creative concepts, execute them through masterful creative design, and communicate these concepts to designers, guiding them throughout the implementation process. The Art director must continuously coordinate with account services in the development of creative projects and with senior management and other creative personnel within the agency.
(Experience in a Branding agency is a must)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
- Masters the conceptualization process
- Masters brand strategies, creative briefs and delivers accordingly
- Masters the art direction of online campaigns and brand websites
- Delivers visual concepts that reflect the identity of the brand
- Capable of producing campaign able ideas that work through the line
- Makes sure ideas are big enough for ATL/BTL applications
- Understands the client’s business strategies and delivers relevant, world class concepts
- Contributes to strategic meetings of all assigned brands and has a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business and objectives
- Ensures business-building solutions in all creative proposals
- Contributes actively on pitches
Project Execution
- Detail project management of all creative programs
- Takes full responsibility of the art direction of projects
- Takes full responsibility of execution and creative work up until submission (including print, interactive, ambient and any other BTL)
- Develop and implement innovative collateral / packaging / point of purchase concepts that meet project timelines and financial parameters and in conjunction with the overall O2 Brand vision and image
- Carries out concept from creation through to finalization for print
- Consistently delivers high-quality services to clients
- Combines creativity with design elements to create compelling campaigns, must have an in-depth understanding of how to achieve this balance between creativity and design capabilities
- Able to work closely with designers to raise the bar of creative output, inspiring them to take the project to new heights
- Follows up on project changes from client servicing until they are approved and have reached the final stage
- Is knowledgeable of the finalizing process prior to production and applies this knowledge
- Offers creative input and technical expertise to enhance the quality of work and procedures
- Able to lead designers throughout the implementation of projects and monitors the results
- Able to work within given budgets, delivers within given financial parameters, and project schedules
- Reviews work of team
- Able to switch from one project to another without losing track, focus, or control
- Experience in a Branding agency is a must.
Software Knowledge
- Advanced use of design related programs either in MAC or PC
i.e., Adobe creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
