Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop strategic licensing plans for category extensions followed by prospecting and identifying licensees.
- Pitch, negotiate and fully execute licensing agreements.
- Manage licensee product development, approvals, retail presentations and promotions.
- Gather and distribute brand assets from design department to partners for line developments.
- Collect quarterly royalties and reporting from licensees and maintain financial reports for quarterly budgets and forecasts. Work with licensees to help them achieve financial goals.
- Partner with Marketing, Programming, PR and Other relevant Departments on projects for sponsored events and cross promotions.
- Attend relevant trade shows and key buyer meetings.
- partner with licensees to develop relevant and innovative products.
- Drive the creation and implementation of annual financial and marketing plans.
- Analyze sales, category/competition and profitability.
- Manage key licensee contracts.
Liaise internally with contract submission for signatures.
- Budget, forecast and recap sales for categories.
Evaluate and analyze product and market trends.
- Manage product life cycles and timelines.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with licenses to include sales analysis, category/competition and timelines.
- Communicate with licensees to ensure brand vision and marketing.financial goals are met; continually evaluate licensee to ensure marketing volume and distribution by category are met.
- Define product positioning within category and ensure on-time market entry.
- Drive promotional opportunities at both the brand and retail levels.
Minimum Requirements
- Experienced in trade marketing and events and an interest in the licensed products and merchandising industry.
- Experienced in entertainment categories including films, Televisio, music, or professional sports.
- Experienced in creating marketing, Media, PR, retail and trade marketing plans.
- Have existing relations with Broadcasters, Content agents, vendors and Retailers.
- Be comfortable working in several different areas of brand building and sales.
- Be very detail oriented.
- Have effective and professional communication skills.
- Be able to balance and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Has constructed large-scale presence at national trade events including events.
