Functional:
Analyzes the market potential in terms of product (consumer) and distribution needs, competitors’ positions in the sporting goods / leisure wear market as well as consumer trends and preferences; evaluates and suggests to BD and Marketing Director as well as implements necessary market research to understand the consumers’ needs and substantiate the brand’s position in the each market relative to the competition and consumers.

Systematically analysis competition in the markets in terms of brand positioning, distribution, pricing, marketing and business set-up; collaborates closely with the Sales Team to analyze and substantiate competitors’ data; determines based on the analysis performed overall sports & leisure wear market size and market size development as well as competing brand’s market position / share.

Designs with the guidance of the BD and Marketing Director a structured approach towards analyzing the markets in the Zone Middle East / Africa in terms business environment, specifically with regard to macro-economics, regulatory environment, political trends as well as country / market risks and opportunities.

Designs systematic approach towards and conducts retail development studies with the aim of assessing current and especially future retail locations.

Assesses current business set-up of adidas in specific markets in Middle East / Africa based on parameters such as market size, value-chain analysis, regulatory framework and financials and designs business set-up proposals which provides better opportunities – within the overall set of brand objectives – to increase sales and profitability for the company.
Develops in coordination with Finance, Sales and IT and in conjunction with customers a Reporting System which combines Sales Development as well as Financial Reporting data in order to provide an integrated Reporting Tool focusing on channel and category sell-in and sell-out data.

• Key interfaces: Customers

Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent in business
• Around 30 to 35 years old
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in cross-border commercial or business development area, preferably in an international company active in the FMCG sector
• Strong analytical skills and capability of business modeling, preferably some experience in finance
• English fluent (written and oral); Arabic and French beneficial
• Strong team player
• Interest in sports
