JOB OBJECTIVE:
? To assist the Director Channels Programming to schedule all JCC Channels to fulfil the ambitions of the Channel Strategies.
? To work closely with the Director Channels and Programming to produce grids for all JCC Channels that maximise the opportunities to attract audiences.
? To supervise the preparation of the grids for all JCC Channels working to the objectives outlined above.
? To advise the Director Channels and Programming on availability of programmes for broadcast, including managing a system for tracking the use of repeats on all channels.
? To inform Marketing and Promotions on future grids so they can maximise the impact for audiences.
? To ensure that playlists are provided in advance for On Air Promotions and MCR
? To maintain strong relationships with the Manager of Acquisitions, the Manager External and Co-Productions and Series Editors, Internal Production to ensure an understanding of content and potential delivery dates.
Minimum Qualifications:
? Educated to degree level. Fluent in Arabic and English with a good understanding of classical Arabic.
Minimum Experience:
? At least 5 years in a role closely associated with the scheduling of television channels, preferably for children in a variety of age groups.
Skills
? A sound understanding of television and the workflow associated with scheduling channels.
? An understanding of the children’s television market and the multiple competitors to JCC in its markets.
? Good editorial judgement.
? An understanding of the viewing habits of children of different ages.
? An understanding of the use of acquisitions across their lifecycle.
