Our client, a world leading FMCG multinational is seeking a Communication channels manager for their Dubai office.
Your role will be to provide functional leadership in different media, online CRM channels to drive their use as efficient and demand generating tools. You will be accountable for leading the development of media strategy to reach marketing objectives whilst continuously monitoring and achieving added value performance set within the media buying department. You will set yearly negotiation strategy working closely with the Media buying unit. You will inspire media and online CRM units to achieve challenging set targets and establish best practice. You will drive inter-departmental communication whilst generating consumer insights in order to help invest effective media funds.
Working closely with the brand team you will provide guidance on optimal ways to invest media and PR budgets and exposure through exploring innovative media opportunities, creative solutions and early adoption of effective new media trends i.e.; sms and 3G targeting. You will also be accountable for defining and implementing targeted Brand and Corporate On-line relationship strategies with clear short term ROI measurements leading towards achieving long-term strategic objectives and to manage on-line efficiencies through comparing web development and maintenance costs of the different e-agencies. You will be responsible for defining and ensuring a timely output of the marketing administration unit cycle: from opening projects in the system to vendor invoicing and for creating system synergies that are in-line with Globe practices through ensuring consistent system entry forms and wording. You will coach a media coordinator, on-line CRM Specialist as well as marketing administration executives in handling their changing responsibilities whilst continuously reviewing team members’ performance against objectives and competencies and providing them with regular feedback, appraisal and assessment.
As the ideal candidate you will have in depth knowledge of Middle East media scene and media channels insight both conventional and unconventional. You will have a minimum 5 years experience in Media Planning and buying in an international advertising agency. You will be strategic and marketing oriented. You will have experience in media planning, analysis and negotiation and able to manage change. It will be an advantage if the person is a male Arabic speaking, since travel to Saudi is required. Arabic speakers preferred.
