Are you a vibrant, enthusiastic, and passionate community builder? You may like to plan and strategize, but ultimately you love getting your hands dirty? Are you on the pulse of what is cool, new and hip in town and know what people want before they do? Your mom would call you a social butterfly, but you just think your friendly. Are you curious and interested? Are you practicing what you are learning…and constantly both practicing and learning?

We are launching a new ecommerce startup to serve the region and need someone to help us understand and engage our local community.

You should have/be/do…
- Prepare visuals and copy for daily deals in your city in coordination with the client to create a stellar marketing vehicle
- Create secondary daily content that features on the deal email and the dedicated area of the website that aligns with the community management plan and the target market
- Write compelling local newsletters weekly
- Write persuasive pitches to venue owners and marketing partners for prospective events
- Conceptualize, negotiate, wrangle, plan and execute cool, fun and buzz-worthy (big wow factor!) events/parties for buyers
- Conceptualize, plan and execute informative and valuable events for the local small business community
- Implement social media outreach strategies by owning our voice across local channels such as Facebook, Twitter, blogging, and viral video
- Connect with the right local organizations and barter weekly newsletter sponsorships for promotion of GoNabit
- Manage the assimilation of new product features and the dissemination of information about program updates to buyer community
- Work with sales on calendaring to ensure that we are ahead of the curve on awesome upcoming events that we must get on GoNabit
- Meet up with Nabbers at planned events and random encounters
- Attend civic events. See and be seen. In the scene. Be the Mayor. Always on.
- Encourage Nabbers to review businesses where they redeemed Nabits
- Encourage, promote and display photos of Nabbers caught in the act of redeeming
- Be out and about and proud of it
- Own on-site communication in forums in your city
- Be accountable with stellar communication to your peers and those who support you at GoNabit HQ.
- Moderate and manage our feedback program

Skills
You should be hands-on with community engagement. That said, working at a startup means having to do a bit of everything and a lot of something. You should have clear metrics of how you have been a superstar in your past roles. No killer numbers means no interview.

- high degrees of diligence and accountability
- ability to network, build presence, grow a profile and motivate people to action

Education
Bachelors at minimum
