Job purpose:
The Country Manager is responsible for sales and marketing activity in their respective country. This will include formulating, analysing and delivering on sales plans, achieving revenue targets, expanding the distribution network, enforcing systems, policy and procedure, people development, building relations with key stakeholders and promoting the airline brand and product.
Principal accountabilities:
- To work closely with the General Manager – Global Sales to establish the commercial strategy for their respective country, identifying profitable revenue streams across the Wataniya Airways network to ensure the long term success and viability of the station and company
- To maximize revenue and profit generation in the designated country via all distribution channels and market sectors through the most effective and innovative sales and marketing campaigns, within agreed timescales and budgets, through dynamic and effective leadership
- To ensure Wataniya Airways is positioned as a professional, high quality and unique airline with the highest levels of customer service to our passengers, meeting all legal, Governmental and other requirements and regulations.
- To meet and exceed all revenue and profitability targets, maximising sector and network revenue and yield with a focus on achieving maximum route profitability
- To ensure sales and marketing resources, call patterns and area of focus are those with the highest incremental value and profit
- Motivate, coach and lead the commercial team to exceed set targets, operate in a cost efficient manner and deliver exceptional customer service
- Building and maintaining high level relationships with local, provincial and federal authorities, media, travel partners etc to ensure maximum visibility for the company
- Providing weekly and monthly reports, data, research and analysis to RGM, highlighting business performance, competitive landscape and recommendations for increasing revenue
Skills
- Proven track record in airline sales, marketing, reservations and revenue management processes
- In depth knowledge of respective country including how to sell effectively in the market and exhibiting strong cultural awareness
- Knowledge of IATA recommendations to airlines / travel agencies for selling in the market
- Knowledge of BSP operation, Experience with tactical and market pricing concepts
- Understanding of and ability to manage cost of sale & Management of the RBS
