Title: Creative Director, Middle East
Group: Creative
Reports to: Directly to Managing Director, Middle East
Indirectly to Global Executive Creative Director

Vision
Leverage and adapt Siegel+Gale’s global competencies to serve and educate clients in the Middle East through truly strategic thinking and world-class creative solutions.

Mission
· Lead, inspire and maintain the creative team in the Middle East with proper balance of local, regional and international talent.
· Manage performance reviews and development goals for direct reports.
· Define, Develop and implement strategically-sound creative solutions that align with Siegel+Gale’s ethos of simplicity.
· Continue to implement and modify S+G’s methodologies and practices to best suit the objectives of clients in the Middle East.
· Exercise understanding and adaptability to cultural sensibilities in both professional and creative contexts.
· Respectfully challenge regional norms in pursuit of unique and innovative creative solutions.
· Identify and establish new creative opportunities with existing clients whenever possible.
· Ensure feasibility of design solutions and articulate design principles and guidelines for implementation.
· Track performance and profitability of creative phases of client projects.
· Support and participate in New Business development including preparing briefs and pitch documents as well as attending pitch meetings with Business Development team.
· Continue to develop and maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers, partners, regional networks and organizations to support the objectives of the office.
· Participate in seminars and speaking engagements in support of New Business and PR objectives.
· Proactively maintain working knowledge of new graphic design software packages, production techniques and digital media platforms.
· Travel as required.

Knowledge
· Innovative approach to visual communication.
· Ability to elicit the best work from a team of designers and work in a collaborative environment.
· Strong delegation and decision-making skills.
· Solid interpersonal capabilities along with superlative verbal, visual and written communication skills.
· Comprehensive understanding of design methodologies, user-experience/interface design, information design, and corporate identity/branding.
· Extensive knowledge of typography, layout, color sense and the latest design tools including the Adobe Creative Suite.
· Ability to clearly explain and write about design issues and dynamically present ideas to senior management and public groups.
· Ability to adhere to project budgets and deadlines.
· 9 plus years of innovative design experience in a design, consulting or advertising firm with multi-industry clients; at least 2 years experience motivating and leading teams.
· Undergraduate degree (B.F.A.) or equivalent; or 4 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree in design (M.F.A.) or similar specialty preferred.
