As the Media and Crisis Management Specialist you must have a strong background in media management and operations with a strategic approach for all crisis-related communications associated with Qatargas. You must maintain a strong relationship with internal contacts from all levels to provide information pertaining to the Crisis Management Team along with external media and stakeholder relationships. You will also work to create and deliver PR trainings to support the development of the Crisis Management Team in adherence to media and education protocol. The Media and Crisis Management Specialist will be responsible for composing and editing Qatargas press releases and making representative statements on behalf of Qatargas when required.
You must have a successful background working as a media manager or media operations manager with a well known PR agency or within a corporate setting in the Middle East. Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred and will put you above the rest. The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration or other relatable disciplines from a reputable University. Experience implementing strategic plans related to Crisis Management is required. You must be excellent in written and spoken English with spoken Arabic as an added bonus. You will also have proven experience planning and coordinating media activities for all related company events.
