Agency scoops four awards in one week to cap another year of growth and success
Dubai, 15 December 2011: Leading regional independent communications company, DABO & CO, cemented a year of success with several prominent wins at the Middle East PR Association (MEPRA) Awards and SME Advisor ‘Stars of Business’ Awards last week.
The ‘Stars of Business’ Awards attracted more than 3,500 entries and the industry sector Media & Marketing category, which DABO & CO was awarded first position, was one of the most hotly contested. In addition to this the agency was a finalist in six other categories including ‘Innovative Approach’ and ‘People’s Choice.’

DABO & CO also won three awards at the MEPRA’s demonstrating the agency’s strength through its strategic approach and business-focused results in both corporate and consumer communications:

The launch of Adventure HQ saw DABO & CO manage the opening event of the retail superstore, while also handling all pre- and post-event publicity. In addition to this the agency demonstrated its social media capabilities by building up a strong community around its Facebook activation through a mixture of relevant content and interactive elements such as competitions.
For the award-winning National Bonds Savings Index, the agency worked with renowned research firm YouGovSiraj to poll UAE consumers in relation to their sentiments on savings. This was the first time anyone had tackled the topic, and it was particularly relevant given the country was just emerging from a severe recession. The findings were then used to devise an effective corporate communications strategy for the client and the index has become required reading for the region’s business journalists.
Finally, DABO & CO secured the Business to Business award for the second year running by achieving some phenomenal results for Canon in terms of dramatically increasing their share of voice, visitor footfall and sales made during Gulf Print.
