Editor – Oil & Gas | Dubai, UAE

Editor, Oil & Gas – AED 22,000 per month

A global media organisation specialising in exhibitions, events, and publications is looking to expand its team within the Middle East. Currently building their already established publications they are looking for an Editor to join the team.

As the Editor you will be managing a team of two (2) writers and report directly into the Managing Director. Your main duties will include;
• Ensuring the editorial department are in line with their parent company’s goals and procedures,
• Commissioning articles, reports and images in line with the magazine’s pre-ordained features lists,
• Maintaining and building relationships within the oil and gas industry,
• Editing commissioned articles and reports ready for publication,
• Managing and motivating your team.

As the successful candidate you will possess global and local awareness of the oil and gas industry, as well as a working knowledge of media laws and ethics within the UAE and Middle East. You will have strong management, publishing and B2B technical writing abilities as well as perfect written and spoken English.

A minimum of three (3) years experience in a B2B publishing environment at a deputy editor or a comparable level, following at least three (3) years at a junior editorial publishing position is required. You must be degree educated; NCTJ or equivalent qualification and be computer literate.
