Our Company is currently looking to hire Editors (Sports/Entertainment Online/Photo, News/Business Sub-Editor).

Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Editor will be responsible for the overall planning and day-to-day functioning of the newspaper, deputies for the Managing Editor and other Section Editors, as and when required, decide the daily editorial contents of the newspaper with the Managing Editor, copy-taste, write, edit, proof-read text, and help develop new editorial projects to improve the newspaper and increase revenue generation.

Both Sports and Entertainment Editors also reports directly to the Managing Editor. Both Editors are solely responsible for the sports and entertaiment section respectively. Will be responsible for producing an informative, interesting and accurate section in both the newspaper’s print edition and website on a daily basis.

Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Conceptualizing, execution and managing editorial content on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinating daily with the Managing Editor, Editor (for both Sports and Entertainment Editors) Photo Editor, Staff Photographer, Art Director and Advertising Department.
- Ensuring that all stories are of interest to the newspaper’s readers (print and online).
- Meeting all deadlines for production.
- Signing off each section before it goes to print, after ensuring it to be error free.
- Ensuring that the newspaper is represented at all key events in the UAE and that the paper does not miss out on any significant events.
- Attending daily editorial conferences, as well as other regular meetings.

News/Business Sub-Editor
- Will function independently to edit at speed and with optimum efficiency and accuracy all hard and soft news and business content intended for publication in the newspaper.

Online Editor
- Will work in close conjunction with the Editor, to plan, coordinate and ensure proper editorial coverage (text and visual) on the newspaper’s website, ensuring that it is accurate in all respects as well as conforming to the newspaper’s voice.

Photo Editor
- Will coordinate the work of a Staff Photographer in covering the visual elements necessary to the news, features and sports stories that are printed in the newspaper on a daily basis.
