Job Description
1. Implement the annual strategic business plan process which includes the organization/structure, ATL campaign, the BTL activities (sampling, consumer collecting), the sports / events activities and the distribution / visibility / sales plans for Syria. Prepare the annual plans and the financial budgets / P&Ls in co-operation with the marketing and sales teams and the distribution partner’s management team.
2. Work closely with the distribution partner sales manager to develop the annual sales & distribution operation plan and KPIs (sales targets, distribution targets, visibility standards by COD, strike rate targets, routing, reporting requirements, reporting standards, geographical set up, headcount needs, outlets classifications…)
3. Work closely with the distribution partner sales manager to develop the annual trade marketing plan/calendar/budget.
4. Track distribution and sales development weekly through weekly meetings with Sales Manager and team, monthly through leading on the marketing and sales monthly meeting to ensure that the monthly and annual distribution and sales targets are met.
5. Analyze and drive action points together with the distribution partner sales manager from the bi-monthly retail audit reading (Bi-monthly retail audit meeting). Summarize finding and areas of improvement to the Area Manager and regional TMM.
6. Recruit, train, lead, manage and develop the consumer collecting teams including the WINGS team and SBMs.
7. Closely track the work of the marketing team to secure strong planning and outstanding execution of the yearly plans.
8. Put in place together with the Wings teams and the SBMs solid sampling annual/monthly/weekly/daily plans and full University SBM program for the leading universities in Damascus.
9. Execute consumer collecting & sampling activities in a manner consistent with brand personality and strategy.
10. Build up your knowledge and relationships with the leading motor sports opinion leaders, sports federations and clubs while supporting their main activities through sampling.
11. Monitor thoroughly the financials (marketing budgets, turnover, liquidity, stocks, and investments) on a monthly basis and deliver the monthly and annual committed P&L in the business plan.
12. Track competition and market developments to proactively adapt plans and strategic direction quickly & effectively.
13. Ensure that the POS items are very well stored, maintained and handled by reviewing the local operational processes.
14. Ensure accurate maintenance of the POS master plans in the market.
15. Recommend and implement innovative solutions, ideas, processes, and breakthrough marketing / sales activities which will further grow the per capita consumption and / or improve the organization / structure.
16. Ensure that the teams run effectively the key operational processes. Examples are 1) Daily meetings with wings team 2) Monthly presentation to all the key members revealing the key achievements of the month.
17. Visit the market regularly (70% of your time) to check the brand’s distribution / visibility / activities, to better understand and resolve the issues, work with the teams and identify value – adding opportunities.
18. Run the Performance Management System with the direct reports twice a year.
