Field Marketing Specialist | Avid Technology Dubai, UAE

The Field Marketing Specialist will report to the Field Marketing Manager for Emerging Markets and is responsible for managing regional- or project-based field marketing, lead generation, and event programs intended to further Avid’s presence in the video and film post production, audio, broadcast and media publishing, consumer and education market segments.

Emerging Markets covers Africa, Greece, India, Malta, Middle East, Russia/CIS, and Turkey. The position is based in Dubai.

Duties and responsibilities
· Implement the marketing plan in collaboration with Emerging Markets Marketing Manager and continually review effectiveness.
· Coordinate all regional-level marcom and field marketing activities, including special events, tradeshows, sponsorships, advertising, reseller events, collateral fulfillment, and direct marketing (mail, email, etc.) targeting content production, post-production, broadcast professionals, consumers and media college students.
· Track all marketing expenses and provide quarterly reports on spending and ROI.
· Manage regional resellers and third parties to develop and implement localized marketing activities.
· Work closely with regional Avid sales staff to understand sales strategies and opportunities. Support sales programs and events, when appropriate, with targeted field marketing initiatives.
· Identify and analyze sponsorship opportunities for local tradeshows, awards programs, reseller events, associations and user groups.
· Organize and implement all aspects (marketing, logistics, onsite management, etc.) of promotional (product demos, roadshows, etc.) and training events throughout assigned region.
· Attend and provide onsite support for Avid’s presence at industry tradeshows.
· Analyze local market information, competitive events and marketing communications, reseller programs and customer feedback to improve current marketing initiatives and identify new marketing and sales opportunities.
· Direct and manage external suppliers in the development of customized marketing collateral (when appropriate).

Qualifications and Skills
· Demonstrable marketing/marketing communications program experience – preferably in the video/film, audio, production/post production and/or broadcast sectors.
· Excellent planning, project management and organizational skills.
· Highly driven, highly motivated and results oriented.
· Outstanding communication skills.
· Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams.
· Ability to work independently and be extremely self-sufficient.
· Ability and willingness to travel within and outside of territory and across time zones.
· Basic understanding of audio and video editing/production technologies.
· Solid understanding of computer applications (MS Office products).
· Direct marketing experience.
· Experience in B2C and B2B.
· English essential, second language preferred.
