UPDATE: THis place refused to cash the check last time I went there, they said the bank got so many rejected checks and they won’t accept it anymore.
If you are a Google AdSense publisher in Jordan then cash your checks at Samhouri Exchange in Sweifieh opposite to Fouad Supermarket, they only cut down 4 $ as commission, better than 10 JD’s at other exchange shops, and much much better than HSBC that will cut down almost 50 JD’s to collect it after a period that only good god knows.

I’m not surprised about HSBC. As a customer of several years, I can honestly say I wouldn’t wish it on even my worst enemy to have an HSBC account. It would be too cruel.

Samer.. I just got my first check b4 2 days, I went to my bank (HSBC) here in Dubai, they refuse to deposit the check in my account, they told me they may charge me about 40-150 USD for clear the check.
I will be in jordan next week, so can I cash my check there in samhoori?? plz help me.

I guess you can cash it at Samhouri, give it a try.
Google checks are being issued from citi bank, I asked them they said you should have an account there, and then you can deposit the check and get the money a month later, and I guess he mentioned something about fees, not sure.
yes, I called citibank and they told me I have 2 open account with them with 5000 DHS min. balance.. also SUX for small amount! maybe in future i’ll think to freeze this amount only for google adsense checks!
I already sent mail to google, also I’ve try to call them, there are no direct number for that department :p

By the way Palestine adsense publishers can receive payment through western union, while Jordan still through checks! We should do some noise for google to enable it for us
