Head of Communications | Nawras Muscat, Oman

You will develop Nawras communications strategy, and ensure that all communications activities are in line with agreed strategy, develop corporate related communication to strengthen the Nawras brand. Develop ATL and BTL communication material for offers and promotions, in line with requests from Proposition Management. Manage the development and implementation of an effective media relations program to maximize Nawras’ public reputation and to minimize the effect media publicity.

You will manage social investments and sponsorships and ensure that they are in-line with the overall brand and communications strategy, manage the internal and external corporate communication and the development and execution of Nawras’ related events, including staff events and press conferences. You will manage the preparation and execution of various exhibitions and events in which Nawras participates, including the development of speeches, presentations, stands and other materials as required.

You will manage and coach a team of 10 professionals, representing the department in the Marketing Management group, liaise closely with the overall Brand Manager as well as Proposition Management, Sales and other related departments, manage external agencies for advertisement, media, sponsorships and events, develop an overall communications plan on an annual basis including communication and sponsorship strategies as well as a detailed quarterly activity plan, signing off on sponsorship requests.

Requirements
You will have a University degree preferably in Marketing and /or Communications, with minimum of 10 years experience out of which at least 5 years in Communications related function, extensive experience from branding and communications, preferably from both agency and clients. You will have experience in managing corporate communications as well as stakeholder and media relations, experience in the areas of production of publications, preparation of press release, corporate communications and public relationships with good understanding of a telecom business, preferably worked for telecom operator.
