This is a brilliant use of WiFi connection to communicate a message, the idea was to raise awareness about unsafe sex, the execution was a number of open WiFi connections in few malls across South Africa, once people connect to these connections, they are automatically redirected to a web page that carried the message warning people from unsafe hook-ups!
While South Africa has one of the highest HIV infection rates, South Africans have become desensitized to HIV/AIDS awareness messages. To stand out in a sea of such messages on World AIDS Day and make people less complacent about HIV/AIDS, MWEB delivered a safe sex message in a fresh, impactful way.
