Dubai, United Arab Emirates 12 February 2013 – Infiniti’s brand philosophy of doing things its own way has once again paid off with two awards from the recent MENA Cristal Festival. Infiniti received a Sapphire (silver) and Emerald (bronze) Cristal for its inventive use of print media for advertising campaigns promoting its products’ technology and the brand ambassadorship of Sebastian Vettel, three times World Formula One Drivers Champion.
The advertising campaigns recognised by the MENA Cristal judging committee were devised and executed in partnership with Mindshare.
“Since the introduction of the brand to the region in 2004, we chose to go our own way and not follow what had been done by others,” said Juergen Schmitz, General Manager, Infiniti in the Middle East. “Infiniti holds its brand ethos of ‘Inspired Performance’ in high regard and the work we produce via our creative agencies is designed to be in line with this. As we have grown, this approach has consistently been appreciated by our regional audience and the recognition of the Mena Cristal Festival for two of our campaigns is the latest proof of this. It’s a great start to 2013.”
The awards ceremony was the pinnacle event in a three day MENA Cristal Festival calendar. The convention draws in the finest advertising and marketing minds from across the Middle East for seminars and networking opportunities.

The MENA Cristal Festival has been created in 2005 with the aim of introducing a new competition for advertising in all the North African and Middle Eastern countries. It rewards the best advertising creations with the famous « Cristal » trophy, and therefore profits from the characteristics which made the success of the Cristal Festival (in Switzerland).
This event has been created as the First Advertising Festival for the Arabic Countries and it gathers all the communications actors in the world: advertising agencies, advertisers, producers, directors, media, survey companies, TV producers… in a series of rich and convivial exchanges.
The ambition of the Festival is to associate creativity and business, and to promote Arabic advertising creativity, it is a real place of exchanges and networking!
