Italy is the reason I hated football 4 years ago and it is the reason I liked it back! I’m a big fan of Italy, I like Argentina as well, but the problem with Italy is the defensive strategy (Katanatcho) they apply in all games, Italian defense players and goalkeepers are very good, maybe the best in the world but this is not enough you have to strike to survive.
What made me hate football is when Italy lost the game against South Korea in World Cup 2002, that game was exactly the same as the final game of Euro 2000 against France, Italy scored, lost many opportunities and played defense, in both games the other team kept striking and striking, but how long you can survive, Italy lost both games, and I lost interest in football.
But it seems Italy finally learned the lesson, yesterday in the game against Germany they attacked like never before, even after the first goal they didn’t retreat they attacked and scored again, 2 amazing goals eliminated the “Muncha”.
This world cup is getting better and better, specially after the elimination of Brazil, Zeidan made my day for the second time after 1998 victory, he is an amazing player, he is my third all-time favored player after the Argentinian Diego Maradona and the Italian Roberto Baggio, the Arab-French Zain AlDien Zeidan is the best in the world now.
What I hate about football is the mistakes committed by referees, one mistake can destroy the dreams of a whole nation, it can kill the efforts done by 22 players, coach and a whole training crew, football is a very old sport but yet the FIFA is not able to solve this issue, in basketball you have referees outside the filed, they can stop the match they can reconsider decisions, in tennis there is a main referee and about 10 around the filed watching, decisions sometimes are being revised, and even a mistake happens it is one point among tens of points, one goal in football sometime is everything, FIFA should do something to solve this.
Forza Azzurri!

hey congrats
i dont think that referee comitted many mistakes last night..
No he didn’t but Germans were so tough specially Ballack, but I don’t blame them as they are playing on their land and between their fans, this put so much pressure on them.
Samer hey… It seems that we cheer for the same people in the both favorite sports.. Tennis and Football.. way to go,, I can never forget the 2002 Korea game, I was furious and mad for a couple of days, and I still can’t get it out of my mind.. nor the game against France, it was devestating… but hey.. we finally made it, we’re no more the “doomed” team. Yesterday’s game was the best game i ever watched. I can’t describe my happiness and the amazing thing is that NO one can tell you that italy didn’t play, no one can say that there were mistakes by the referees, it was all perfectly done, just as i wanted:)
about Brazil.. I really don’t agree with you, I do believe that they deserve losing, but these people were born to play football and to make coffee beans. They deserved to lose because they didn’t play well… a game without amusement is not a game… so hope this teaches them a lesson for the upcoming year… I’m soo longing for a Classical finalé joining Brazil and Italy… so that we’ll win:)
Cheers…
ps i just figured that you have a blog!! hehe
LOL Lubna. Those two games made me hate football I was so disappointed specially in 2002, but yesterday’s match re-charged me. I hope that Italy will keep-up the great performance they had yesterday. As for Brazil they are really talented but their performance in this world cup was bad and disappointing. Anyway this is football.
I hope that we will have tings in common in our posts like in the sports
