Lead the Creative & Promotion team in providing the overall image and direction, and ensure all on-air/off-air, marketing, advertising, internal and external literature and promotional initiatives are well-branded and positioned. Steer channels strategic objectives. Is responsible for the overall operational management of the team. In other words you will be the guardian of the brand.
Key responsibilities include:
• Management of Design Team including responsibility for recruitment, team performance and development.
• Co-ordination of the deliverables of the design team including marketing support, information architecture and editing.
• Creativity and originality of deliverables to deadline.
• Work with the Heads of Production and Marketing and Communication to define TV Production’s creative strategy.
• Review creative issues with EGM.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following attributes:
? Experience of leading teams to deliver to in-house (internal) & commercial (external) clients.
? Ability to lead concept development & present winning solutions to key stakeholders.
? Lead the development and execution of on-air and off-air; short and long-term creative strategies and campaigns in close collaboration with Marketing & Communications
? Has overall responsibility for the creation and development of seasonal & event driven graphics and animations for both programming and production
? Lead (participate/collaborate) the embellishment of the existing visual identities of the channels.
? Oversee the development of the channel style guide; monitoring use and abuse.
? Work closely with the Marketing and Production departments to generate promotional and marketing ideas
? Lead the conceptualisation for key production and initiatives and presentation of new concepts and storyboards to management
? Oversee the planning for regional promotional elements as well as the management of promo scheduling inventory
Skills
• Thorough understanding of broader business issues and the media environment
• Keen understanding of kids TV market
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Proven project management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Significant experience within a digital design (Internet, broadcast or iTV) environment; ideally within a TV design management role.
• In-depth market awareness of Digital and Satellite TV.
• Experience of successful project implementation and delivery to deadline.
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
• University degree in Communications, or Design or Media related studies
Minimum Experience:
• 10 years or more experience leading a creative team at a TV station or network
• Proven on-air and off air campaigns with overall visual and strategic plan
