Sales & Marketing Manager | Proximity Kuwait
The S&M Manager:
• Reports to the CEO.
• Has S&M responsibility for: Training & Consultancy Services; Sat/GPRS-based AVLS/DVPMS; Transport, Plant Hire & Associated Services (all mainly to Oil & Gas, Construction, Transport & Telecomms)
• Utilises framework for Sales Forecasting, Business Development, Marketing, Major Account Management; Sales Incentives, KPIs, & related or agreed plans & programmes to meet market penetration, market share, revenue, margin, & growth targets;
• Delivers the Sales & Marketing Forecast & Budget & contributes to policy-making covering planning, pricing, margins, sales channels, future service/product definition/ selection, etc.
• Has Dept P&L responsibility including: Price/Margin goals; Sales Revenue & Profitability goals; Collections; KPIs; Operational Performance.
• Manages Marketing Strategy/Budget including: Marketplace R&D & Opportunity Assessment, SWOT & Competitor Analysis and recommendations; Above/below-the-line promotion, advertising & awareness campaigns; Regular, targeted, specific industry events, exhibitions, seminars, email campaigns; 3rd-Party Sales Partner Framework; Marketing materials/documentation; CRM/Automated system to quantify/measure/ Marketing ROI; A PR Plan: Activity Calendar/Activities/Events/Press Releases/Media Relations, building Corporate Image & Brand Awareness
• Utilises agreed automated systems/tools to develop/deliver an operations management framework including standard documents, working procedures, reporting formats, etc & a Quality Assurance (QA) system/other procedures for ISO accreditation.
• Motivates & leads to deliver employee empowerment, individual responsibility /accountability, team building, personal/career development programmes, appraisal, promotion, recruitment, retention & succession planning
• Maintains a high-level of Customer Satisfaction
• Promotes, implements, monitors & reports on S&M’s adherence to Company HSE Policies
Qualifications, Experience & Skills at Entry:
• University Degree, preferably in Business discipline, with post graduate & professional qualifications &/or professional sales and management training
• Minimum 15 years Sales, Marketing, Commercial &/or Management experience
• Minimum 10 years experience in Sales & Marketing, at least 5 years of which has been in Sales Management. Successful sales targets achievement at both a sales & sales management level is a mandatory requirement
• Successful P & L experience & a strong understanding of financial concepts
• Evidence of broad technical understanding & the capability to communicate with specialists/technical personnel &/or technical or industry knowledge in the sectors/marketplaces in which Proximity operates is preferred.
• A track record of strong commercial leadership, & a high level of management skills/experience is considered essential
• PC Literate, able to use & manage desktop tools proficiently
• Fluency in spoken & written English is mandatory; a working knowledge/understanding of Arabic is preferred for a non-Arab incumbent
