Senior Marketing Manager | Kuwait
The Senior Marketing Manager will report directly to the VP of all retail business units, and will play a critical role in the development of strategies that increase sales, gross margins profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities -
1. Transforms policies, strategies and objectives into long, medium and short-term plans, which include internal development and productivity increase as well as participating in executing these plans in coordination with subordinates and related departments.
2. Prepares annual product business plans, including objectives, strategies, action plans and target dates and present the status periodically.
3. Maintains and utilizes sales and market information to develop marketing strategy including; price positioning of each product, pricing and discount strategy, review of the product portfolio within each product group, brand and segment to optimize margins and stock levels.
4. Recommends pricing structure for the different products including discount programs and promotional items.
5. Develops and implements effective marketing programs including advertising and promotion programs with major supplier support and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness. Utilize Databases to measure the effectiveness of those programs.
6. Develops and implements systems and methodology for collection and analysis of market information regarding competitors’ activities and share, competitors’ pricing and discount programs, specifications and features of competitive products in comparison with own agencies products, customer preferences, market spend, etc.
7. Establishes and maintains proactive relationships with industry influencers, key community strategic partners, and product suppliers in order to utilize these relationships in achieving market and marketing objectives.
9. Develops data and strategies to maximize price negotiations with suppliers on a dynamic basis.
10. Conducts pre-contract liaison with customers and participates in negotiating with key customers regarding contract terms and conditions.
11. Manages the relationship with in-house advertising agency to ensure cost effective and timely implementation of quality advertising campaigns and monthly catalogue.
12. Reviews agreed plans for showrooms merchandizing, window displays and in-store promotions in coordination with sales management.
13. Prepares market and sales forecast to support planning, ordering and inventory control.
14. Develops and implements systems to monitor sales and margins by product, agency, shop/segment and showroom in coordination with Group Control/ Finance.
15. Develops and implements systems to identify sales opportunities or problems and product gaps in product range.
16. Introduces new product categories, product extensions and improvements.
17. Identifies sourcing opportunities and sources for complementary products and gaps in existing product range. Develops and implements sourcing programs aimed at filling those gaps.
18. Coordinates and organizes training programs on products specifications for sales staff, in addition to mentoring own direct reports.
19. Ensures effective and optimum manning of organization, and effectively manages the team to achieve above tasks.
20. Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates to follow up and keep abreast with the latest.
Relevant Education, Knowledge & Experience:
1. Bachelor Degree in a related field (Marketing, Business Administration), MBA preferred, but not essential.
2. 10 years relevant marketing experience.
3. 5 years proven managerial skills & experience.
4. High market and products awareness.
5. Proven selling, negotiating and convincing skills.
6. Problem solving and decision making skills.
7. High level of people management skills and customer focus.
8. High level of verbal & written communication skills (English essential / Arabic preferred)
9. High level of analytical and strategic thinking. Organization and planning skills.
10. Computer literacy (Microsoft office, related business software e.g.: SAP & Business Objects)
11. English speaking, plus Arabic is highly desirable.
