PR Director | TBWA \ Zeenah Muscat

Purpose:
The PR Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategic public relations programmes for the agency’s clients.
They will also be responsible for building and managing a PR team to facilitate the launch of a stand-alone PR unit in 2009.

Principle Responsibilities:
• Plan Public Relations’ strategy for all agency clients and the agency itself
• Relationship building and maintaining with the media
• Providing a clear rationale to clients for the role of public relations including key measures and return on investment
• Recruiting key staff and managing their work and personal development
• Setting and managing financial targets
• Developing independent client portfolio
• Oversee quality control especially production of press releases

Qualifications/Attributes:
• Bachelors Degree
• 10 years proven working experience in public relations agencies – preferably in the Gulf Region
• Possess excellent communication and organisation skills
• Articulate – both written and spoken word
• Ability to understand a variety of people across different nationalities and cultures
• Demonstrates confidence
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly
• Persuasive with the ability to think on ones feet
• Ideally, a native Arab speaker with excellent English
