PR Group Director | Doha
Our client, one of the largest multinational communications agencies in the region is seeking a Group Director for their Qatar based office.
Reporting to the Managing Director your role will be to act as a senior liaison for a group of the agencies accounts with responsibility for senior-level account planning and supervision of the account teams in your practice area. You will be responsible for staff utilization and development, revenue generation, income projections, expense control and administrative functions related to executing the annual business plan and in meeting profit objectives. You will maintain team billability; function as a key player in pursuing new business opportunities and lead presentation and proposal process. You will also participate and encourage the development of special practice areas such as financial, PR, crisis, healthcare, environmental etc on both local and international levels. You will work with office management to develop and implement company procedures, reinforce company values, ethics and critical success factors. You will also maximize utilization of team members through effective recruitment, employee goal setting, appraisals etc.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public relations, journalism, English marketing or related field. You will possess at least 7 years of agency or corporate public relations experience. You will broad based exposure to all skill areas including proposal planning, writing and presentations, media relations and consultative selling. You will have direct experience in building and managing teams comprised of professional and non-exempt personnel. You well be well presented with excellent English language skill. Arabic not essential.
