Press Officer | Doha

Our client, an edutainment channel for children, is seeking a Press Officer to be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

1. Manage company press office and carry out a wide range of media relations activities to support our work program and corporate profile.
2. Draft and edit press releases, speeches, fact sheets, and other editorial materials.
3. Feed local and regional media with company news, programs highlights on a regular basis.
4. Generate positive coverage through well developed media contacts.
5. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with editors and writers (responding to enquiries and arranging interviews, as well as drafting statements, comments and responses).
6. Be responsible for portraying the organization in a positive light and maintaining the company’s good reputation in the media.
7. Manage company online media centre, work closely with Website Supervisor to assure, and provide them with all needed materials.
8. Prepare a monthly analysis which presents a detailed evaluation of the media’s perception of the company (major concerns and attitudes of the media, trends and relationships in the media).
9. Prepare monthly reports containing Key Performance Indicators on all relevant operational aspects (press coverage- company generated news and non company news, country of coverage, media visitors to the company, number of press releases and news generated by the company, etc.).
10. Submit monthly activities report.

Skills
Minimum requirements and qualifications include:
1. At least 3 years of related experience.
2. Bachelor of Arts in mass communication/ Event Management/ Marketing/ Public Relations.
3. Excellent writing skills in both Arabic and English.
4. Excellent communications and organizational skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills; attention to detail.
6. Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
8. Able to negotiate, organize, delegate and work under pressure.
9. Fluency in both Arabic and English language is a must.
