1. Publications:
• Preparation of SMD’s Publication Plan to confirm SMD publishing requirements
• Confirmation of the budget for the projects and the procedures to be followed in authorizing expenditure
• Identification of the skills required and determination of whether these are available in house or need to be contracted from outside SMD
• Development of a detailed project schedule for each publication
• Co-ordination of each publication and preparation of regular progress reports
• Evaluation of publications after their release

2. Website, Writing and Editing:
• Overseeing the SMD English website
• Writing articles, press releases, flyers etc in English for SMD’s Marketing Department
• Providing English language and editorial advice to Marketing Department and SMD translators
• Providing English language copy and advice on SMD’s exhibitions

3. Other duties:
• as required by SMD’s Director General
