Officer of Content Management | Manama
Role:
Liaise between government, agencies, ministries, helpdesk and portal production team to develop and update the contents of the portal
Responsibilities:
• Create concise, user-focused content that supports and utilizes Portal features
• Review and edit site content, all government reports, documents
• Work with cross-functional teams to determine the best content for each application or feature being released to the site.
• Manage and maintain content to keep it fresh and up to date.
• Learn, leverage and integrate Portal Technologies according to business needs
• Uphold content quality standards.
• Manage and prioritize all Portal tasks and responsibilities according business needs.
• Define and review metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategy and push toward continuous content improvement.
• Research additional Portal capabilities and identify ways to incorporate into the Government Portal.
• Foster Web Portal “Best Practices” across the Portal platform.
• Maintain Portal user profiles, and group configuration.
• Leverage the System Development Lifecycle to determine process/scope regarding design or content changes that may impact the business.
• Understand how business units and citizens use Portal and address the issues arising out of the feedback
Skills: Good communication skills
Education: Degree in Journalism/Communications, Multimedia, (or similar field)
