Senior Research Analyst | Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Objective
Support the Research Manager and the Head of Strategy in conduct, analysis, and reporting on labour-related topics.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
Conduct research on any relevant topics for the Organisation (for example, but not limited to labor market trends in Abu Dhabi; forecast of employers’ future staffing needs; jobseeker segmentation and profiling, etc.)
Analyze internal Organisation data on usage of Organisation services and submit report on findings (e.g. heavy use of CV writing assistance, increasing request for specialized program training, portal users behaviors and trends, etc.)
Develop and maintain proprietary data on AD labor market (e.g., unemployment drivers, job seeker segments)
Suggest new research topics relevant for the Organisation leadership and other stakeholders (e.g., emerging sectors, influence of employment on crime rates)
Support and cooperate with other functions and divisions of the Organisation in assessing impact of developments in the economic and market environment on their respective areas
Maintain list of relevant sources, monitor publications relevant to the Organisation and alert leadership on key external research findings
May assist the Strategy & Policy Director in designing, collecting input from Senior Advisor and other divisions in Operations, analyzing, reviewing and editing operational strategy, policies, procedures, processes, forms, and contracts for the Organisation division, which reflect Emiratization policy developments and that are up to date and as per best practices
May assist the Strategy & Policy Director in advising, supervising and assisting in the development of recommendations on policy in the areas of human capital development and labor market policy for Abu Dhabi in order to shape the council’s position on certain key subjects (e.g. but not limited to subsidies for National employment efforts, quotas for Emiratis in certain positions, etc…)
Assist the Strategy & Policy Director in the building forecast of employers’ future staffing needs given sector growth trends
Assist the Strategy & Policy Director in the development of intelligence reports on labor agency best practices and closely develop & maintain associations with economic/labor market experts/forums/institutions. May assist the Strategy and Policy Director in maintaining close relationships with public private sector organizations as required
Perform required documentation, presentation, recommendations and reports on timely basis as required
