Dubai, UAE, 13 March 2012: Leo Burnett enjoyed a sparkling night at the Dubai Lynx Awards, walking away with Network of the Year and Media Agency of the Year for Leo Burnett Beirut, while Raja Trad, CEO of Leo Burnett Group MENA and member of the Leo Burnett Wordwide Global Leadership Council (GLC), was presented with the Advertising Person of the Year award. The agency’s nominated campaigns also won several golds at the awards ceremony, held as part of the Dubai International Advertising Festival, the leading awards for creative excellence in advertising and communications in the Middle East and North Africa.
The Dubai Lynx Advertising Person Award is presented to an individual who has made significant contributions to advancing the reputation and profile of the communications industry in the MENA region. The recipient of the award is selected by the organisers of the Dubai International Advertising Festival.

The Dubai Lynx Media Agency of the Year Award is presented to the entrant company that obtains the highest score for its entries in the Media section, while Network of the Year is won by the agency network that obtains the highest score for entries in the Film, Film Craft, Print, Outdoor, Print & Poster Craft, Radio, Media, Interactive, Mobile, Direct, Promo & Activation, PR, Design and Integrated sections.

About Raja Trad
Raja Trad began his career in advertising in 1978, joining H&C Leo Burnett as an account director in 1981. In 1984, he was named regional account director on a leading international account, before moving to Bahrain in 1987 as sub-regional managing director for the Bahrain, UAE and Kuwait operations. In 1991, Raja Trad became the CEO of Leo Burnett Middle East, with North Africa added to his geographic scope in 2000. A year later, in 2001, his responsibilities as CEO of Leo Burnett MENA were expanded to cover all non-media operating units in the region.
He was the recipient of the Lebanese Order of the Cedar (Knight) from the Lebanese President of Republic in 2004; he served as a trustee to the American University of Beirut (AUB) for three years, and as a board member of Dubai Media Incorporated.
