The Role


A real estate organisation is looking for an events manager to manage a heavy events program of around 170-200 events per year. These events will take place around the world, including Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will be expected to organise suitable designers and review various contractors to help develop your stand presence at events. The Events Manager will also be expected to organise the visas, flights, hotel reservations of each attendee. This is a hugely dynamic role, where the events will range from a small seminar to a well attended conference.

On a day to day basis, you will organise and supervise the activities and work of a small team including event services professionals (event organizers) to ensure that all work within a specific area of event activity is carried out. You’ll also provide strategic leadership to the conference, trade shows, CSR activities and other marketing event programs. The Events Manager will be responsible for the overall event strategy and evolve event processes and operations to optimize cost-effectiveness and the strategic value of events, as well as ensuring alignment of the overall events program with brand and business goals, from show selection to individual event strategy.

The ideal Events Manager will have a solid career within an events management capacity, as well as experience managing and supervising a small team of events executives. You will have the opportunity to travel to several locations around the world, so the freedom to travel frequently is essential. The ideal candidate will be from a blue chip organisation and be able to commit to working and living in Qatar.
