Develop, agree and implement communication and public relations strategies to support, promote and facilitate Marafiq’s corporate vision, mission, values, identity, image, strategies and objectives by means of appropriate, proactive and effective internal and external public relations and communication actions.
Plan, develop and gain agreement to Public Relations and Communication policies, strategies and activities that support, promote and facilitate Marafiq’s corporate vision, mission, values, identity, image, business strategies and objectives, and oversee the their implementation by means of appropriate, proactive and effective internal and external communication actions of high quality to ensure the company is optimally represented to all its stakeholders.
Oversee the implementation of internal communication policies, strategies and actions to facilitate employer-employee communication and the development of a corporate communication culture through effective two-way communication forums, print and electronic media, common information platforms and management communication mechanisms.
Oversee arrangements for VIP visitors, company events, and individual and group tours of Marafiq installations, ensuring such arrangements are efficiently and effectively handled and that the company is appropriately represented to such groups and individuals
Ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives through leadership of the Public Relations and Communication Department – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance.
Skills
Communication:
All departments up to the level of the President (weekly)
All Marafiq stakeholder groups on an ongoing basis in order to ensure appropriate management of the organisation’s corporate image and two-way communication needs. Stakeholder groups include:
Government departments
Customers
General public
Local communities
Publishing, news, advertising and public relations agencies
8 years’ experience in communication and public relations roles in a major organisation
3 years’ private sector experience.
Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and by word of mouth.
Good understanding of the media, both within the Kingdom and internationally.
Excellent understanding of internal communication theory and practice, and how employee communication should be used to motivate, inform and inspire.
Education
university degree in Media/Public Relations/Communications or in a related commercial discipline
