Market Research Analyst | IDC Middle East & Africa Dubai, UAE

To meet IDC’s growing demand for research and operational tools, IDC is expanding its global business in Middle East & Africa region. The position is located in Dubai, UAE.

Join the branch, and work with an international team dedicated to marketing research, event and advisory services.

Responsibilities:
- conduct primary and secondary marketing research in HW markets;
- analyze business and market trends;
- work with quantitative market sizing and forecasting analytical tools;
- prepare thorough and well-organized reports, writing of summaries & conclusions;
- contribute to consulting engagements;
- play a support role in business development by building and maintaining industry relationships and assisting in sales efforts.

We require:
- experience as Analyst with excellent written and spoken English;
- relevant work experience in research is strongly preferred;
- market research or industry-specific knowledge (in particular HW) is a strong plus;
- University degree or equivalent, and experience in market and/or equity research in the IT fields; or research, marketing or sales at an IT vendor.

Candidate has to be able to demonstrate:
- knowledge of IT markets in general or in detail;
- sales orientation and an entrepreneurial mindset;
- ability to discuss and analyze technical issues;
- aptitude for business analysis and quantitative analysis;
- ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- excellent writing and presentation skills;
- proficiency with Excel and other MS Office software packages.
