The Communications Manager Middle East is responsible for developing and executing external and internal communications plans that are aligned with the growth objectives for the business in the Middle East .
The role reports to the Regional Communications Manager for the The Business for the Middle East. Key internal clients (or stakeholders) for this role are primarily the Energy Services commercial and operations leaders for the Middle East.
Key deliverables of the role include providing leadership and driving synergy in communication activities of Energy Services businesses to create a single voice & view of The Business’s Services business in the region among customers and other key stakeholders.
The Communications Manager’s main responsibilities will be as follows:
• Own, develop and execute a wide variety of communications initiatives involving trade media relations, branding, collateral, executive communications, advertising, web content, technical seminars and customer events.
• Deliver compelling commercial communications initiatives and programs in support of business commercial goals aimed at target customers and their influencers.
• Assume responsibility for instigating, promoting and delivering new communications vehicles and ideas to refresh the commercial communications of Energy Services in the eyes of the customer in the Middle East .
• Identify synergies between Energy Services plans in the region and those of the headquarters to leverage presence, initiate joint efforts, as well as tailor and execute commercial communications plans, thereby creating greater impact for the overall business.
• Assist regional communicator in sector, industry and trade forums to expand Energy thought leadership position, with a focus on Services.
• Maintain awareness of customer reaction and feedback to campaigns and communications programs to inform future decision-making.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with The Business department businesses,
• The Business communications teams and the corporate communications teams to establish effective working processes and integrate communications programs
• Manage commercial communication budget for Energy Services in the Middle East
The Person
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or related field.
Requirements
• Minimum 8 + years experience in marketing Communications from a corporate business to business environment.
• Professional experience with a major corporate, multinational company
and/or PR agency with major corporate clients
• Fluent in Arabic and English (strong written and oral communication skills)
• Strong process & project management skills. Ability to translate product & service value propositions into creative communication concepts
• Ability to project-manage complex communications plans using external and internal partners and resources to produce cost efficient , timely and targeted outcomes.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work
• Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write, and present compelling stories for a wide range of audiences.
• Time management and organizational skills; utilizing high business acumen. Ability to effectively interact at all levels, earning the professional respect of other colleagues.
• Experience in developing and implementing marketing communications campaigns with clear metrics and deliverables.
• Competent in PowerPoint , Microsoft Word, and Excel.
