1. Portfolio Performance
Leads the business in establishing, managing and achieving the key performance indicators for the portfolio.
• Market Share ,Gross Margin,Awareness,Trial,Equity,Image attributes
• Strategically analyses competitor performance and capabilities and reports back to management on issues that may affect performance.
• Strategically reviews costs, working with Primary Supply Chain and pricing to ensure corporate margin targets are achieved.
2. Marketing Planning
• Develops the strategic 5 Year Plan and effectively implements the plan within the agreed time schedule.
• Develops the marketing support and human resource plan for the portfolio to ensure interdepartmental resources are available to realise the plan
• Leads cross functional dialogue to ensure that adequate resources, both financial and capital, are assigned and made available to realise the plan.
• Leads the Annual Marketing Plan process, Annual Promotional Plan process and Annual Projects Schedule process.
• Leads TRD and PDM.
• Attends key cross functional and trade meetings.
3. New Product Development
• Leads the portfolio’s strategic NPD process and feeds into the 5 Year Plan.
• Leads the NPD Meetings and is responsible for the output of the meetings.
• Leads cross functionally the NPD strategy and ensures that adequate resources and skills are available.
• Develops key relationships with suppliers and marketing staff to ensure global trends and global NPD information is fed into the business.
• Attends and presents at Global Forums on NPD specific for the portfolio.
• Develops packaging that is functional or emotionally creates a USP within the category
4. Communication & Media Planning
• Leads the strategic management of the portfolio’s Agency of Record and resourcing requirements.
• Leads and is responsible for the communication strategy for the portfolio ensuring that the key performance targets are achieved.
• Leads and is responsible for media plan and budget for the portfolio ensuring that the key performance targets are achieved and that spend is within budget.
• Manages and is responsible for the Marketing Expenditure Budget and its effective use in achieving key performance targets.
• Leads and is responsible for packaging and branding development and ensure it is consistent with the Corporate Brand Architecture.
5. Consumer Insight
• Identifies leads and is responsible for the development of the portfolio’s Consumer Insight Strategy.
• Develops consumer segmentation model for portfolio based on demographic and psychographic analysis.
• Leads portfolio insight into consumer attitude and behavioral studies for the portfolio.
• Leads the portfolio in regards to CPT, STM or TOT methodologies to minimize risk and to ensure adequate resources are allocated to major projects.
6. People Management
• Develops the Human Resource Plan for the portfolio ensuring that adequate resources are in place to support the annual and 5 year Plans.
• Manages his direct reports and ensure that all staff within the team have:-
- KPI and MBO Performance agreements.
- Individual Development Plan.
- Identified training program, both OTJ and Accredited Course.
• Participates in the Functional CDM and Succession Planning Meeting.
• Ensures that the company’s targets on Saudisation are achieved.

Requirements
University Business degree with Marketing specialisation
At least 7 years marketing and/or brand management experience with a reputable FMCG company in the Middle East with evidence of well developed marketing skills and proven track record of delivering results in a competitive environment. Experience of multi-markets an advantage but not essential.
Good communication and written English skills.
