Harley-Davidson MENA is looking to appoint a Marketing Manager who, as part of the H-DMENA team, will be responsible for strengthening the brand, leading the development of Harley-Davidson marketing and will oversee the application of the brand in the market. This role will also be responsible for the delivery of marketing campaigns along with PR and events with the overall goal of promoting the brand and growing the overall sales of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles in Middle East and North Africa. The Marketing Manager is the driving force for creating and implementing the marketing strategy for H-D in MENA.
Based in Dubai, the Marketing Manager will be accountable for the strategic and operational marketing activities for both Motorcycles and PAM, actively promoting Harley-Davidson in MENA. The role will support individual team members to tactically develop and implement central marketing activities for H-D and will support the overall volume growth objectives for MENA. The Marketing Manager will report to the County Manager for H-D MENA.
Key Result Areas
The Marketing Manager will:-
• Be accountable for strengthening the brand and increasing demand for Harley-Davidson in MENA.
• Communicate and feedback product and price information, thus playing a critical role in having the right product at the right price.
• Manage and co-ordinate staff, agencies, MENA events and press launches, media and publishing, and research companies, supporting and developing the MENA Market.
• Develop Dealer Marketing plans/activities, ensuring a reliable and consistent service.
• Ensure that the brand is applied in the optimum way in the marketplace (events, third parties, etc).
• Play a key role in the planning and execution of all marketing activities, in particular, but not limited to product launches
• Actively manage the MENA press COV fleet, making recommendations for which models should be part of the fleet, how they can be used for maximum coverage, ordering and delivery of this fleet through cooperation of the District Manager, and to develop a process for measuring the utilization of this fleet. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for managing the disposal of COV’s through the COV sale process.
• Coordination of all the content on H-D MENA corporate websites, ensuring the content is accurate, legal and current.
• Continuous development of the dealer website programme, ensuring H-D MENA maintains an industry leading online presence.
• Coordinate and manage the company’s presence at chosen national events, arranging the sourcing and supply of motorcycles, logistics, stand materials, staffing, lead generation, lead input to the lead management system and post event analysis and reporting.
• Responsible for setting and tracking the execution of annual dealer marketing plans
• Managing the output and support of the Dealer Marketing Service agency to the dealer network; and responsible for alignment of the DMS agency with the EMEA and SGM programmes, materials and strategies.
• Responsible for central lead generation and assisting dealer lead generation through online programmes, launches, open house events and sales campaigns
• Responsible for successful launches and campaigns that maximise coverage, create demand, drive prospecting and assist dealers to generate future orders for both Motorcycles and PAM.
• Support the dealer development team with new dealer prospecting through the development of new dealer recruitment advertising materials
• Support new dealer on-boarding process through successful pre- and post- opening campaigns and marketing programmes. Responsible for supporting new dealers with opening launch plan and materials.
Skills
The Marketing Manager role will require the following mix of skills and experience:-
• Fluent in Arabic and English with strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Highly motivated and positive individual that is a team player, completer-finisher, tenacious, extremely well organized and able to work well within a diverse multicultural team
• Able to work to a deadline and remain focussed under pressure as well as willing to work longer hours from time to time to meet deadlines.
• Degree in Marketing or Communications preferential.
• Minimum 5-7 years Marketing/Communications experience in managerial role.
• 3 years experience in premium brand marketing, leisure or retail industries preferred
• A keen understanding of Customer Relationship Management would be an advantage.
• Considerable experience of the production of marketing materials.
• Ability to set strategic direction, develop supporting programs and promotions.
• Capable of leading marketing peers, dealers and agencies to implement programmes/promotions.
• Must have demonstrated experience in providing marketing communication leadership and consensus building among diverse functions and cultures.
• Experience in planning, budget setting and management of agencies is required.
• Mobility, 20% with the dealers, 20% with the medias, 10% international travels, 50% office based.
• Likes to work with a lot of autonomy – freedom but within fences.
