IIR Saudi Arabia is a new country office based in Jeddah, KSA controlled by IIR Middle East in Dubai. The company objective for IIR Saudi Arabia is to explore greater opportunities to run exhibition, conference and training product in Saudi Arabia, a historically difficult place for international events companies to conduct business.
A dedicated Saudi based office along with a newly formed local partnership is designed to ease the process of running events, and as prospects for growth within Saudi Arabia in the field of business tourism/event organizing is very good, the outlook for a professional events company is extremely positive.
•To ensure the portfolio of products organised from IIR Saudi Arabia is marketed effectively
•Liaise effectively with relevant marketing teams from other regions wherever necessary
•To support the event director and marketing teams in daily administration tasks
•Act as a point of contact for all marketing queries relating to events organised by IIR Saudi Arabia
•Support individual event campaigns wherever necessary
Key Performance Indicators
•On-time and accurate logging of mailing seeds and invoices
•Turnaround of assigned tasks and projects
•Full understanding of projects being handled
•Timelines are adhered to in all promotional activities
•Individual product targets met as set out by Group Marketing
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
•Log mailing seeds on a daily basis on the marketing forward schedule
•Log invoices on a daily basis on the dynamic budget sheets
•Proof read and sign off all websites
•Update websites with necessary text changes
•Format fax data
•Format pre-registration documents using MS Word
•Check label codes and changing if necessary
•Proof read all marketing materials to ensure error free deliverables
•Set up, monitor and action media deals with external organisations in the region as directed by Event Director/Group Marketing Manager
•Support Group Marketing Director/Event Director in defining and implementing the strategic marketing decisions and direction for the portfolio of events
•To keep associated marketing spend across all the exhibitions within budget set by Event Director/Group Marketing Manager
•Ensure the show websites are fully up to date with latest information
•Support the design and production of all marketing collateral, including sales brochures, visitor tickets, print advertisements, web banners/emails etc.
•Liaise with external suppliers whenever necessary including Print, Mailing House, Design and Research.
•Provide reporting information as required by the Group Marketing Manager, Group Director and Exhibitions Marketing Director
•Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility
Minimum Education Level Required
•Educated to degree standard in a business or marketing field
Background Knowledge and Experience

•Previous experience in an events marketing role related to conference and exhibitions
•Proven experience of working on event marketing campaigns
•Database building and maintenance, to include sourcing external data for new product areas
•Online Marketing expertise including website best practice, search engine optimisation, sourcing of content, email marketing and new technologies such as streaming video / podcast etc
•Excellent people management skills, with specific workload management experience
•Experience of working in pressured working environment
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills at both senior and junior level
•Arabic language speaker
•Real Estate industry knowledge
•CIM/IDM or Masters Qualification
•Effective communication at all levels internally and externally
