Samer, IMO it is beneath you to continue the Palin smear campaign, which it seems no one has bothered to do much fact-checking on, and has roots in disgruntled McCain staffers who won’t even own their ‘leaks’.
She participated in one (maybe 2?) beauty pageants for a SCHOLARSHIP, not a serial vanity thing. Her parents didn’t hand her her college education on a silver platter. I would’ve done it too, but my town was even smaller than Wasilla.
SHE did not purchase those clothes, they were purchased for her BY A McCain staffer ( in fact, one of her leakers, I believe) the clothes were $50,000 and were not going to be hers. HELLO, how much did Michelle or Cindy spend? Is it not news as they spent their own money?
So when does everyone suddenly believe Faux News? Only when they won’t quote sources or CONTEXT?

I started my blog in early September to refute the vicious rumors about Sarah Palin that started as soon as she was announced as the vice-presidential nominee.
She never banned books, never charged victims for rape kits. Was right about Russia being visiable from some areas of Alaska. And on and on and on.
The vicious Hollywood celebrities and turn coat Republicans who attacked her would do well to remember her enormous popularity.
She will be back. America needs her.

Kinzi, I hope I won’t offend you, but the lady is dumb. I don’t mean to continue criticizing her as I assume she’s not reading this, but there’s a lesson to learn from all of this: American cannot survive another dumb president or vice-president. They have to be a bit smart, and judging from her interviews and later avoidance of interviews can tell she was not ready to handle this job. I’m just saying because you may have quite a few Sarah Palins in 2012 or 2016- and they may be men.

Everybody believed she said she could see Russia from her house. She did not. She said Russia can be seen from an Alaskan land area.

Thanks for your gracious response, Samer. Thanks to Hareega, I found some ‘alternate’ media, actually bloggers who did more investigative journalism than MSM and were careful to present both sides of each of the half truths, partial quotes and actually report what she had done in fighting corruption in her state rather than her hair. Yes, there was MUCH more to her than could be learned at comedy shows, as it is hard to respect someone who is only being laughed at.
Hareega, whew, nothing like video clips to make you slink into obscurity or just work harder to learn the game. Hareega, be honest. Have you listened to Joe Biden? Have you seen what he has accomplished? Did you hear his last speech? I have too much respect for a sitting State Senator to call him ‘dumb’, but really, did Obama do any better in his VP pick than McCain? Did Joe Biden ADD anything significant to the race? God forbid anything happen to our new president, I want him in kevlar from head to foot, as there is no way that his VP pick could come anywhere near fulfilling the shoes and vision of our new leader.
I know you may not like her, what she said, and especially how she said it. But truly, ‘dumb’ is a mentally deficiency and people who are dumb are janitors. She graduated from college, became a mayor of a small town then created enough change and charge to win the governership of her state and actually take on a very corrupt ‘old-boy’ network. I have several friends here in Jordan who are Alaskan who attest to her ability, her perseverence and intelligence as a state leader. She has a husband who is man enough to let her excel without losing his authority over her, and that is a truly submitted woman.
Do I think she was ready to become president? BY NO MEANS. But she wasn’t running for the presidency. And you can’t base much from her interviews until Katie Couric when she was forced to spew Stepford-esque Repubicanisms. It was her later speeches and interviews when she was allowed to cast off the ‘handlers’ who are now spreading their venom about her anonymously.
I’m not sure she’ll be ready in 2012. As a mom, I’m glad she will be able to mother Trig through his infancy and help Piper go through adolescence out of the limelight. Bristol will get married soon and need her mom to help her through the first year of teen-motherhood. Their family doesn’t need the media scrutinizing their every word and color of their socks right now. I am looking to see if Bobby Jindal can clean up Louisiana corruption. If he can do that, I will be looking his way for 2012. But then again, I may help re-elect President Obama!
But as a woman, Sarah represented who I am, middle-class American mom who broke the glass ceiling created by another generation of feminists. After the race barrier, I’d like to see that one taken down. That would make Mohanned crazy, as it is identification politics. I love moose-meat and used to ski five miles to school, I can rebuild a carbuerator and split my own firewood.
I know most people can’t stand her, but I think it is because they stuck with the quotes and soundbites a biased media gave to prop up the cut-out they created of her instead of digging deeper to make her the 3D person she really is. Imagine the nerve she struck with every woman who ever aborted a fetus with Down’s Syndrome – they would hate her for the visibility of her ‘choice’ no matter how intelligent she was.
Remember, this is generally the same old tired media who always use Palestine and terrorist in the same sentence. If they can’t articulate our regions issues without bias, well, that says something

Kinzi and Janet, I based my judgement on on a few things,
The interview with Gibson, honestly I did not watch all of it, but most of it, I saw how she stumbled on the question on Israel, clearly had no good answer. With Couric she appeared very distracted and her answers did not make sense. The media bias might have been in going after her vigorously, but the interviews were real, here are the questions and here are her answers. The answer on Russia was what made believe she’s really dumb. I watched several debates very early in the primaires for both Democrates and Republicans and didn’t find anyone appearing so politically naive more than Palin did.
Joe Biden have said pretty stupid things, and one thing I’ll never forget him saying suggesting the primaries to split Iraq into three areas, one for Sunis, one for Shiites, and one for Kurds, which was reflective of how out of touch he is on Iraq. But being in the Senate for so long assumed he had a better national experience at least, besides his chances of becoming president are much less than Palin’s.
One thing the media for some reason ignored, is that her husband was and maybe still is a member in the Alaska Independence Party, and she gave a speech to that party not too long ago according to many of her supporters in Alaska. I can’t find anything more un-American that not wanting to be American.

As for her husband, you really have to understand Alaska is our last frontier. He is part Native American.There are some there who did not want to join the United States in 1959. Who felt their birthrights were sold out. She is right to reach out to these people by speaking to them. This demonstrates to me more than ever her talent or genius, if you will.
Being able to connect with peple as she can is a very important sign of giftedness. Many people can regurgitate facts. How many can rally a crowd of thousands?
The Mainstream Media and Hollywood celebrities aided and abetted by some very cruel jealous politicians set out to crush this good woman. She threatened their core beliefs.
I, myself, am mortified by the way she was treated. Her six month old disabled child was made the butt of cruel jokes. I am very disappointed in the type of people who would do this.

one thing to know about politicians: they express themselves through media, the respectful media. a media presenter can manipulate the questions but the politician must be at least smart to know that.
