A diversified technology, media and financial services organisation is seeking a Media Relations Specialist to enhance their exposure to the market.

Role Summary/Purpose
- The Media Relations specialist is responsible for developing and executing media relations programs that are aligned with the business’ growth objectives for Middle East & North Africa.

Principal Accountabilities:
- The key accountability is to develop and implement proactive media relations programs and campaigns across the region, which support the overall Corporate and Business Communications Strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage media relations programs including: identifying and pursuing external media opportunities: feature lists, influencer outreach, print, digital, TV & radio interviews.
- PR campaign outreach through liaising with agency and key journalists, fielding and handling media requests; coordinating media training program.
- Responsible for relationship building with business and trade media across the region.
- Preparation/drafting of high-quality written English/Arabic materials for use by stakeholders and for release to the media, customers and other influencers; Develop creative original storytelling material for pitching/placement to provide ongoing air cover for the company in the region.
- Manage regional PR agencies to ensure execution of yearly/ quarterly deliverables.
- Manage media audits to track development and impact the brand throughout the Middle East.
- Manage digital outreach program through various digital channels.

Skills
- Minimum 5 -7 years experience in communications, with active understanding of external communications and the wider communications mix.
- Proven track record in delivering high quality communications programs and material/output, preferably including digital Comms, events, etc…
- Experience with the Middle East regional media/journalists is key to this role.
- Must understand measurement techniques for media activities. Familiarity with new social media and latest technologies in communication is a plus.
- Excellent level of spoken and written English and Arabic required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Individual must exhibit strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills.
- Possess social media networking skills and digital know-how.
- Ability to juggle priorities and meet numerous deadlines.
- Must possess superior organization & creative skills.
- Able to interact professionally at all levels of the business.
