MusicHall opens at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray in Dubai

Dubai, January 27, 2013: MusicHall is definitely taking Dubai’s nightlife to another level of entertainment. Dubai has been long over due for a cultural nightspot to entertain it’s global community. The iconic live music show from Beirut saw a grand opening this weekend to an enthralling crowd. José Gálvez energized the crowd with his enthusiasm on stage performing in his signature style ‘Cante Jondo’, while sicilian tenor Tino Favazza filled the venue with his powerful Bel Canto voice singing an opera aria and a Neapolitan song. Diverse performances brought the crowd alive with talented artists like Bilal the Gipsy prince, an Egyptian folk singer singing on a loudspeaker in front of a projection made of belly dance passages taken from black and white Egyptian movies, Cuban salseros, Sabreen a charismatic American Soul artist and Russian folk singers to name a few.

MusicHall Dubai is based on the popular music venue that was pioneered by the Elefteriades brothers in Beirut, Lebanon in the early 2000s. The show became an overnight success with its modern and innovative take on the ‘dinner & dance cultural entertainment’ concept.

From rock, reggae and jazz, to Arabic, gypsy and Latino, music from every corner of the globe will be showcased with a distinctive blend of more than ten live acts per night, combining a unique lively atmosphere with quality entertainment and good food.

Whilst enjoying the distinctive live music, guests can enjoy a meal on one of the plush, comfortable sofas in the levelled seating areas or opt for drinks and finger food at the bar. Throughout the night, an international DJ mixing world music provides an interlude between acts, offering a refreshing alternative to the UAE’s nightlife and music scene.

The venue will be open year-round on Thursdays and Fridays between 9pm until 3am. Entry is subject to a minimum-spend on food and beverage, Dress code is smart casual. MusicHall is also available for hire throughout the week for private functions including weddings, corporate entertainment, product launches and other events.
