Nashret Ghaseel with Nabil Sawalha on Mazaj FM is really funny!

“Nashret Ghaseel” is a new radio show launched by Mazaj FM 95.3, the presenter is the very funny Jordanian comedian Nabil Sawalha, the 10-minute show comes in a form of newscast with lots of funny observations and critics on politics and daily life stuff. Nabil is one of few Arab actors that always succeed in making me laugh, he formed a really successful duet along with Hisham Yanis, what I really liked about their performance is the focus on politics and its effect on our life, they go local and expand regional.

One of the funniest things I heard in Nashret Ghaseel: … the Prime Minister is meeting with journalists to explain government’s policy for selling its properties of lands, that’s if they found a piece of land to meet on…

The show comes daily from Sunday till Thursday at 7:50 am, and they rebroadcast is at 10 am.

  • hi samer and thanks for the compliment. I like the name jazara, as you maybe remember, my first comedy charachter on my TV series “Baini wabainak” was called “Sameeh abu jazarrah” the name came to me from a story i read in London about a man died from going mad on eating carrots and drinking carrot juice , he turned red and died of vitamin A poisening. The accent was “Yafawi” as i like the Jafa accent.
As to some of the comments, one i ageree with is that we need new comedians, i tied to train some in the MBC program “najm elnujum” Randa Karachi was one of them, but she did not take up comedy although she is a good comedian. There are lots of comedians out there, but there are not many comedy writers and that is the difficult part- i survived and maybe too long- becuase i write my own material. I am now helping MY daughter Lara is preparing her own comdy show, its young and about the young, no politics ya wedad.

  • Thank you for your comment, it’s a pleasure that you visited my blog :) Abu Jazarrah – glad you liked the name of my blog.

I agree with you, we need more comedians and I wish Lara all the best.

  • thank u and i would welcome ideas from you all for the program as well as i would like to hear about the problems of the young in amman.

  • hi from nabil sawalha and thank u all for ur comments, as to a web sight i am guilty of not doing one, i am not that media aware, I shall start working on one , but as my IT son told me i am on 76 sights or spots on the web . but it is becoming urgent to do one thank u.
as to my nashret ghaseel i want it to be an eye opener and specially for the young ones in the arts, to start looking at things in thier own original way and always to see the beyond of things and most important to see the humour in life, as without humour life is very dire and humour helps u deal with any problem with positivness and ease. good luck

  • Thank you Mr. Nabil, and looking forward to see a website for you.
