National Stores, the UAE distributor for Canon Middle East opened the doors of its first ever concept pro shop in the Middle East at Al Ghazal Mall on Al Diyafah Street. A first for the region, the one-stop shop for professional photographers and aspiring photography enthusiasts showcases DSLR cameras, lenses and accessories. It will also feature a range of Canon DSC, DVC and IJ printers, but the concept shop will focus mainly on the pro category.
According to Ateeq Shamsi, sales and marketing director, National Stores, authorized distributor of Canon PV products, there has been a growing community of professional photographers and photography enthusiasts in Dubai and the UAE. “The continued growth of Dubai as a business, media and entertainment hub has spawned numerous businesses and activities that require the services of professional photographers. This is a growing community, and professional photographers are known to be very passionate about their work and their cameras. We are here to respond to this growing community, with a specialized shop that will showcase Canon’s DSLR expertise and market-leading products to provide everything they need.”
The showroom staff have also been carefully selected and trained to assist professional photographers with their needs, including providing equally important after-sales services.
Canon Middle East managing director Anurag Agrawal attended the inauguration of the shop and reiterated the company’s commitment to the evolving photography community in the UAE. “Over the years, Canon Middle East has been working closely with the professional photographers’ community, holding various workshops and competitions. This pro shop geared to their needs is another initiative that hopes to give them a dedicated place where they can find the tools and products that they need in their work.”
The Canon Pro Shop will be open from 10 AM to 10 PM 7 days a week.
