Khaberni.com and Jawwal launch ‘Khaberni Mobile’ exclusively for Jawwal subscribers

Under a mutual cooperation agreement that brought together the Saudi Arabian telecommunications company Jawwal and the renowned online news portal Khaberni, the ‘Khaberni Mobile’ service has been launched exclusively for Jawwal subscribers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The service allows Jawwal subscribers to know the latest news around the clock through a direct SMS service delivered to their mobile phones in both English and Arabic.

The service will also cover all sections and categories contained in the Khaberni website which include economics, sports, politics, technology, in addition to daily expressionist caricatures depicting regional and international persona drawn by the artist Bashir Mraish and published exclusively on the Khaberni website.

Chairman of Khaberni’s Board of Directors Thamer Al-Odwan said that the company’s work team is happy with this agreement, saying that: ‘Jawwal is one of the bigger and more well known companies globally when it comes to mobile operators. We are happy to join them in a cooperation agreement, which we consider the first step for Khaberni to expand regionally. This is what we aspire to at this stage, as we are an Arabic portal and our content should reach the Arab World at large.’

Jawwal customers are able to subscribe to this service by specifying the code of the section they would like to subscribe to through a short message to the number 84646. Messages will then be delivered to the subscriber regularly for a humble fee that does not exceed 12 Saudi Riyals. Section codes will later be announced by Jawwal.

It is worth noting that Khaberni.com had contracted earlier this year with Zain to launch a Jordanian-based Khaberni Mobile service, which received immense success due to Khaberni’s credibility in the industry, in addition to their professional broadcasting style that respects their readership.
