The Middle East edition of Britain’s leading magazine for the advertising and commercial media industries, Campaign, will be launched by Motivate Publishing in October under licence from Haymarket Media Group.
Campaign Middle East will retain its coverage of account moves, personnel developments, creative and media news combined with incisive analysis and comment plus in-depth sector reports making it the ‘must read’ magazine for anyone in advertising, media and communications.
Commenting on the launch, Group Managing Director of Haymarket Media Group, Eric Verdon-Roe, said: ‘The launch of Campaign Middle East is welcomed as the creative, advertising and media industry in the region is flourishing. It is one of the few parts of the world which is more or less unaffected by global cut-backs in advertising budgets and Campaign will be an essential ingredient of this growing market.’
Ian Fairservice, Managing Partner of Motivate Publishing, commented: ‘We know there are thousands of readers within the region’s advertising industry who are waiting for Campaign to hit the shelves and we are very much looking forward to this exciting launch.’

The International Audit Organisation, BPA Worldwide, has announced the latest circulation figures for Emirates in-flight magazine Open Skies for the period of January to June 2008.
The highest figure, was for the June 2008 issue with 66,045 copies, and the average qualified circulation for the period was 63,901 copies. Further increases are expected in the coming months with the recent launch of the airline’s first Airbus A380, which , along with the rest of the fleet, carries Open Skies in all of its seat pockets.
Open Skies is produced for Emirates by Motivate Publishing, whose Managing Partner, Ian Fairservice commented: ‘The latest figures show an increase of 6% over the previous period and this growth is certainly set to continue with the increased demand of the new fleet of Airbus A380’s. Steps were taken earlier in the year to reduce the weight of the Open Skies magazine, by reducing the format and ordering a light stock of paper. As a result of these steps, Motivate have successfully cut 28% from the weight of each magazine. Similar steps have been taken with the airline’s monthly Portfolio business magazine resulting in weight savings of 37%.’
