• Work with existing and prospective advertising agencies and corporate clients to determine their business needs and formulate the appropriate advertising solution
• Responsible for hitting and maintaining a quarterly ad revenue target
• Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain a regional territory account list
• Develop and cultivate deep relationships with agencies and direct advertisers through sales calls, meetings and other communications
• Collaborate with Advertising Services department on campaign implementation to insure strong results
• Create comprehensive advertising proposals and sales presentations that address campaign objectives and showcase the company’s offerings
• Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries
Skills
• Relationships with budget decision-makers at advertising agencies
• Proven track record driving advertising revenue
• Demonstrated track record of managing negotiations to successful closure
• 3-5 years experience in a sales or media/agency environment
• Strong communication skills, including presentation, phone and e-mail
• Able to work independently
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of the latest global Internet trends (e.g. Web 2.0, social media, blogging, etc.) is a big plus
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Understanding of CRM software is a plus
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
