The Public Relations Officer, whose expertise is at officer level, will primarily project manage all internal and external PR activities in Lebanon in addition to the implementation of the PR strategy, created by the PR Manager.
Key to this role will be your previous experience in media relations; rolling out proactive PR campaigns, as well as managing and monitoring media coverage.
Main responsibilities:
• Coordinate all PR activities in line with agreed Policies & Procedures.
• Receive inquiries from media, individuals and other organizations and process them through correct channels.
• Research, draft and distribute press releases to targeted media in Lebanon.
• Organize events including press conferences, exhibitions, employee events, open days and press tours.
• Be the person on the ground who will source out and contribute articles to the company’s website, intranet and newsletter.
• In partnership with the PR Manager continually seek PR opportunities for all the operating companies.
• Analyze the media coverage received by the media monitoring service and ensure that the service provider missed no clippings. Make recommendations accordingly.
• Managing the implementation of retirement events, under the guidance of a ‘tool kit’ from Corporate Communications.
• Drafting responses to customer feedback and supporting the call center representative with any inquiries.
• Assist University students in their projects upon request whilst referring to the company FAQ.
• Handle any relationships with any local community and associations.
EDUCATION:
BA International Affairs / BA Public Relations / BA Journalism / BA Marketing
EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years experience in the field.
SKILLS:
• Fluent in English & Arabic.
• Apple Mac and Office Mac proficient.
• Knowledge from previous PR work with clients in the Middle East is a benefit.
