For its 9th edition, Project Qatar – the International Trade Exhibition for Construction, Building Materials and Environmental Technology organized by IFP Qatar and IFP Group – will be introducing a state-of-the-art mobile application that allows participants to use their smart- phones as interactive guides throughout the fair.

Held at the Doha Exhibition Center between April 30th and May 3rd, “Project Qatar 2012” will have a real edge: both exhibitors and visitors will have access to a free mobile application that can be downloaded on all smart-phones operating systems such as iOS (iphone and ipad), android, blackberry and all other internet enabled mobile phones.

The application is actually multifunctional, offering valuable facts and figures to all participants before, during and after the show, including exhibition profile, exhibitors’ information, booth locations and daily programmes amongst other useful information.

Commenting the news, Mr. Michel Gebrael, Project Manager at IFP Qatar, said: “During the past years, we have managed to position Project Qatar as the leading construction exhibition in the Middle East, attracting more than 2,080 exhibitors from 49 countries. Such an achievement is not only a reward but also a big responsibility towards our partners: we constantly need to meet and exceed their expectations.”

Gebrael added: “In this context, innovation has become key; and for the 9th edition of “Project Qatar”, we’re providing a unique mobile application that will help visitors plan their site tour while offering a wide-reach communication platform to exhibitors, bringing them maximum mobility and exposure.”
