The Role


A successful and leading real estate developer is looking for a Publications Editor to assist the Assistant Manager for Public Affairs to undertake the production of all externally focused publications such as: Press releases, brochures, website, newsletters, web content, and any other internal or external communications as required. You will also be responsible for editing, copy-editing and proofreading of documents, and oversee internal and external document production, to assure on-time, error-free delivery of finished products.

You will have the gravitas to address the communications needs of all departments by proactively sourcing information from Department Heads to provide themes and content for publications. This involves working collaboratively with various colleagues, clients and contractors to make complex topics, data and statistical analysis understandable to a variety of users. the Publications Editor will also develop and update appropriate ‘Media Kits’ and work with the PR Agency to ensure that all media requests are answered in a timely and appropriate manner.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Creative Writing or Communications.
The Publication Editor will have had experience in a similar role in a significant size organisation where multiple publications are created and where numerous press releases are developed and issued. You must have strong understanding and proven capability in copy writing for use in multiple channels.
On a day to day basis you will get involved in:
drafting Press Releases
Editorial and Proof reading
Writing Journals and Newsletters
Internal & External Communication (both Arabic & English)

Requirements
